About Us – Halal Standards Development Trust

Halal Standards Development Trust (HASDAT)

A Halal Certification and Auditing Serivices Organisation.

Halal Standards Development Trust (HASDAT) is a duly incorporated organisation under the Corporate Affairs Commission, representing the Muslim Ummah on all matters pertaining to the general application of the term Halal with specific reference to Islamic dietary laws.

Mandate includes educating   and enlightening the Muslim community and the good people of Nigeria on the need to practice and encourage the use and consumption of Halal products.

HASDAT has been established as a representative authority, which promotes professionalism and excellence in the certification of Halal food and other related products.

HASDAT standards are based on the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry and International Halal Integrity Alliance (ICCI-IHIA), a global standard developed in accordance to guidelines adapted from the International Organisation for Standardization/ the International Electrotechnical Commission (ISO/IEC), guidelines for International standards Development, While adhering to World Trade Organisation-Technical Barriers to Trade (WTO-TBT) code of good practice for standards development.
